CAA Offices
CAA has two offices, one at the University of Minnesota's in Coffman Memorial Union (Minneapolis), and the other in the Whittier neighborhood of Minneapolis, near the intersection of Frankiin and Nicollet.
University of Minnesota
This office is generally open during normal business hours on weekdays, but are guaranteed to be available between the hours of 11am-2pm (and we are available on an appointment basis after business hours and on weekends). We have an array of free resources, various literature, an extensive book and video library, and much more!
This office can be a bit difficult to get to if you are not familiar with the University of Minnesota area, but hopefully these resources will help you get here in a jiffy!
By Bicycle or Foot
Depending on where you are coming from, the quickest, cheapest, and most environmentally-friendly ways of visiting our office are walking and biking. Good routes to the office include the East and West River Roads, the Washington Avenue Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge, 15th Ave SE, and through campus.
Minneapolis bike-ways are outlined in this map and University of Minnesota's bike routes can be found on this map. An excellent Twin Cities bike map is published by Little Transport Press, and is available at many local bike shops.
By Bus
Because our office is right off Washington Avenue there are a variety of bus routes to conveniently choose from. The regular lines include 2, 16, and 50, with express lines 111, 112, 114. The Cedar/Riverside stop on the 55 Hiawatha light rail -route is an option for individuals willing to walk from the West Bank to the East Bank across the Washington Avenue Pedestrian Bridge. Metro Transit provides a personalized bus schedule planner, and for a listing with all the various bus routes.
Bus fares range from $1.50-2.75 and the transfer cards are valid for 2 1/2 hours.
Driving Directions
From 35W South
After passing I-94, watch for signs directing you to the U of M/3rd Street exit. Follow the East Bank sign. Merge onto Washington Avenue. Once you cross the Mississippi River, Coffman will be the second building on the right. Turn right onto Church Street and then right onto Delaware Street. Coffman's south entrance and drop-off locations will be on the right. Entrance into East River Road Garage is on the left.
From 35W North
Take the University Avenue/4th Street exit. Turn left at University Avenue and head toward the East Bank. Turn right onto Oak Street, then right onto Washington Avenue. Coffman is five blocks ahead on the left. To park or drop-off, turn left onto Church Street and right onto Delaware Street. The south entrance will be on the right.
From I-94 East and West:
Take the Huron Boulevard exit from I-94 (north exit only). Turn left onto Washington Avenue. Coffman is approximately seven blocks ahead on the left. Turn left onto Church Street and right onto Delaware Street. Coffman's south entrance and drop-off locations will be on the right. Entrance into East River Road Garage is on the left.

Parking
If you are driving to our office to pick something up or make a drop-off, contact us in advance or call our office at 612-276-2242 the day-of and we can arrange to have a volunteer meet you behind Coffman Union so that you don't need to park.
Parking options at the University of Minnesota are generally limited to meters and parking ramps. Parking meters on campus and hourly, daily, and disability parking can be found on these comprehensive maps (note: the CAA office is located on the "East Bank"). You can also view a listing of parking rates.
Another option is to park in the residential areas on the perimeter of campus and walk or bus, which may be more economical than paying for a parking ramp.
Whittier Neighborhood Office
This office has somewhat limited hours. There is usually someone in the office during the day on Wednesday and Friday. We recommend checking with us ahead of time before coming to the office.

The entrance to this office is located in the back of the building. There is a sign out front for "The Well".
By Bicycle or Foot>
See this map of the Minneapolis bikeways. The nearest Greenway exit is at Nicollet at 28th, just a few blocks away from our office.
By Bus
There are a variety of buses that go near this office, including the 2 on Frankling Avenue and the 16th on Nicollet. Any bus that takes you near the Nicollet-Frankling intersection is a good option.
By Car
This office is very easy to get to. We recommend using Google Maps for driving directions.
Parking
The building has a parking lot in the back near the entrance to our office. However, we encourage you to park on the street when possible, as we share this parking lot with our neighbors in the building.
