"Publishing the facts on animal suffering."
Our Mission
The CAA Media Response Team encourages coverage of factory farming through positive praise, and writes letters to the editor and op-ed pieces. Our emphasis is on local media and factory farming issues. We meet regularly to share ideas and veg food, and we coordinate our efforts through the writers' listserv. The group offers a fun way for anyone interested in writing to get involved, meet great people, and help the animals!
Our Methods
Letters to the Editor
Using the news monitoring resources listed below, writers share articles with each other and respond to them with short letters (100-250 words).
Op-Eds
Writers work with one another to craft longer pieces (500-900 words) for submission to various publications.
Positive Praise
One of the best and easiest ways to encourage factory farming coverage is to thank the media when they do things right.
Our Successes
We have had many pieces published in various publications.
