Potlucks
Potlucks are a great community-building tool. It gives individuals a chance not only to have their fill of great vegan foods prepared and served by fellow vegetarians and vegans, but to also try their hand at crafting a great dish themselves.
A potluck is a gathering of people where each person is expected to
bring a dish of food to be shared among the group. When CAA hosts a
potluck, its expected of guests (albeit not required) for everyone to
bring something to be shared. This makes it so that there is enough for
everybody to enjoy.
Potlucks are a great way to meet new friends among a group of like-minded individuals. The great food brings them together for an evening to enjoy the cruelty-free and compassionate atmosphere. Potlucks give people the opportunity to expand their gustatory horizons and be exposed to certain foods one may have not even heard of before.
Traditionally we have a Valentine's potluck, spring potluck, summer picnic, Veg Week potluck, and a Turkey-Free Thanksgiving potluck. All future potlucks will be announced on our website by our events coordinators on our Events Calendar.
