Conference Attracts Great Reviews and Press
By Dax Riner
Their Lives, Our Voices, CAA's summer
conference, got a great reaction online, raising the profile of animal
advocacy in the Midwest. Conference attendee Mindy Gudmundson
had great things to say about Colleen Patrick-Goudreau's keynote
speech on her Creature Talk blog, while author, activist, and TLOV
presenter pattrice jones wrote several entries
about TLOV.
Farm Sanctuary's Gene Bauer compliments CAA in his blog. TLOV was covered by Minnesota Daily reporter Betsy Graca as well.
Perhaps the most flattering write-up comes from Veg News publisher Joseph Connelly, who wrote up his TLOV experience - as well as his impressions of Minneapolis - in the magazine's blog. Connelly paints a glowing picture of CAA when he says, "CAA is the new wave of animal activism, blending a winning combination of ingredients including youth, intelligence, professionalism, media savvy, and contemporary technology to advocate passionately and successfully for its chosen constituency."
