Featured Volunteer and Donor: Dave Rolsky

Dave Rolsky has been an active volunteer with Compassionate Action for Animals since 1998. As one of the founding members of the organization and as a member of our board of directors, Dave has played an important role in defining CAA’s values, goals and directions.

From the creation of our popular VegGuide.Org website to our volunteering database, Dave has used his extensive skills in information technology to greatly advance CAA’s outreach efforts. Dave further lends his time and experience to helping organize numerous successful CAA events including our annual banquet and the Their Lives Our Voices conference. He is an important participant on our fund-raising committee, and is also a major financial contributor.

"I started working with Dave 11 years ago and I’ve seen him develop his passion into concrete skills that help animals," says fellow advocate Unny Nambudiripad. "He always asks the hard questions about what really helps animals in the short- and long-term. From his extensive experience and long debates with other activists, he’s honed his skills and has truly become an effective advocate. He consistently puts in long hours, and year after year is one of our most generous donors."
