Gil Schwartz is Leaving CAA

Compassionate Action for Animals' Director of Volunteer Programs, Gil Schwartz, will be resigning, effective July 17th. Gil has been a key part of the organization as it has grown in the past years, and an integral contributor to many of our programs, including Veg Week, our No Battery Eggs campaign, and the Their Lives, Our Voices conference. He has brought a sense of fun, a talent for engaging with volunteers, and a work ethic that will be missed by all of us at Compassionate Action for Animals. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

From Gil: "Coming to this decision has not been easy and has been something that I have thought about for a while. There are a variety of reasons, plus intuition, that have led me to make this move. After careful deliberation and sharing my decision with the Board of Directors, I feel that new and positive opportunities can come forth from this for the organization and for me. Being a volunteer with CAA for five years, and a full-time employee for four years, has been rewarding, but I am looking forward to taking this time off, reflecting on my experiences, and gaining new insights and perspectives. Advocating for animals is embedded into who I am and is something that I will continue to be activewith on a personal level and beyond.

I have enjoyed working with so many passionate volunteers, generous donors, and supportive community members throughout the years and look forward to connecting with many of you down the road. I feel confident in CAA's growth as an effective organization in eliminating animal cruelty and with your collective enthusiasm, energy, and smarts, there are endless possibilities and new directions that will make a difference for animals."

Thank you, Gil, for all of the work you've done on behalf of the animals.
