Volunteer for CAA's MN College Leafleting Day!
Join CAA on Monday, April 23 (the day after Earth Day),for a historic, full-day of leafleting at various colleges all across Minnesota! This is a great opportunity to alert young adults about the cruelties that animals endure in factory farms, so please join us either as a leafleter, an on-site coordinator, or driver. This will be CAA's biggest event this season, and many are even taking the day off of school or work to help.
While leafleters will volunteer anywhere from an hour to several hours, on-site coordinators will pick a college to attend for the whole day - helping other volunteers at that specific college with leaflets and refreshments. In order to make MN College Leafleting Day a success, CAA also needs drivers to help transport volunteers to their college of choice. Later in the evening, CAA plans to celebrate by throwing a free pizza party (with great prizes) for anyone involved in the day!
The following is a listing of cities we are hoping to have a presence in:
- Brainerd

Article: Burger King Shifts Policy on Animals
By Andrew Martin, as printed in The New York Times
March 28, 2007
In what animal welfare advocates are describing as a "historic advance," Burger King, the world's second-largest hamburger chain, said yesterday that it would begin buying eggs and pork from suppliers that did not confine their animals in cages and crates.
"I think the whole area of social responsibility, social consciousness, is becoming much more important to the consumer," said Bob Goldin, executive vice president of Technomic, a food industry research and consulting firm. "I think that the industry is going to see that it's an increasing imperative to get on that bandwagon."
