Celebrating 10 Years of Compassion

Please join us as Compassionate Action for Animals celebrates its 10th anniversary at the annual CAA Banquet!

Ten years ago, we came together to put a vision of respect and justice for animals into action and effect a positive change in the world.

Focusing on action, education, and outreach to inspire and promote veganism, CAA has touched hundreds of human lives and saved thousands of animal lives during those ten years. Through the dedicated efforts of CAA volunteers, thousands of leaflets have been distributed to increase awareness of the plight of factory farm animals, hundreds of individuals have pledged to try vegetarianism, social gatherings have been held to bring like-minded people together, and inspirational speakers from across the country have motivated us to continue our efforts to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Please join us at the banquet for delicious vegan food and drinks and a fantastic silent auction (including original art, gift certificates, concert tickets, and much more) as we pay tribute to 10 years of CAA!

There is a suggested donation of $35 per person, $30 per person for two adults or more, and $15 per child, but any level of a contribution is appreciated.

You can RSVP online, or for more information, contact unny@exploreveg.org. An RSVP is required to attend the event.

Finally, consider inviting any supportive friends, family, and associates to this fun evening. We look forward to seeing you there!

Date: Friday April 4, 2008
Time: Reception and Silent Auction begin at 6:00 PM
Location: Mississippi Room at Coffman Memorial Union, 300 Washington Ave. SE, Minneapolis, MN

Hard Times Dine-Out and Ice Skating!

Join CAA for a brunch dine-out and ice skating on Saturday, February 23.

We will begin with a dine-out at Hard Times Cafe, an all-vegetarian restaurant which offers a wide range of animal-friendly, delicious brunch items such as vegan pancakes, tofu scramblers, veggie sausage, biscuits and gravy, and much more.

Afterward, at around 1:00 p.m., we will be heading to the nearby Matthews Park for some fun ice skating and vegan hot cocoa. The park has free ice skates to use, but bring your own if you have some. What a fun way to start your Saturday!

Please RSVP with Becca at Becca@exploreveg.org or 763-221-0770 for either or both events.
