Not Into Leafleting? Stock Literature In Your Neighborhood!
One of the most effective ways to promote vegetarianism is to provide people with information about where their food comes from. And CAA has known for several years now that one of the most convenient ways to do this is by providing people with resources that they can pick up at their own leisure! With indoor and outdoor stands strategically placed throughout Minneapolis, St. Paul, and other cities in Minnesota, CAA has been able to distribute tens of thousands of literature handouts and Vegetarian Starter Kits without even being there. Our volunteers also stock pamphlets and put up posters at their neighborhood restaurants, grocery stores, fitness studios, record shops, book stores, places of worship, libraries, etc.
With dozens of locations across the state, free information on animal cruelty issues and becoming vegetarian is now available to thousands of new people!
If you want an easy and effective way to help the animals, please consider adopting a literature stand or identifying places in your neighborhood that should be targeted. We will get you everything you need with no cost to you; all you need to do is keep an eye on the location and occasionally restock the literature.
If you have an hour a month and want to help with this simple and effective form of outreach, please contact our coordinator, Matt S., at matt.schmittdiel@exploreveg.org.
Video: 45 Days: The Life and Death of a Broiler Chicken
45 Days is an investigative documentary by Compassion Over Killing, showing the typical conditions under which "broiler" chicks are raised for their flesh. It was produced using undercover footage from chicken farms and slaughter plants in the United States, including footage from two of the country's largest poultry producers, Tyson and Perdue.
You can watch the full video online.
If you want to help stop this abuse, consider withdrawing your support of the animal agriculture industry and going veg. If you've already made this lifestyle change, consider volunteering with CAA to help others learn about the plight of farmed animals and how they can help. To learn more about how easy it is to go veg, check out CAA's Vegetarian Resources.
