Winter Volunteer Appreciation Party

Join CAA on December 4th at our new community office, and meet the folks who make the organization run! On Friday, December 4, Compassionate Action for Animals will be recognizing all the hard work volunteers have put in this year with a Winter Volunteer Appreciation Party!

This event is open to anyone who has volunteered, is currently a volunteer, or is interested in volunteering in the future. Please RSVP for this party by sending an email to info@exploreveg.org.

Volunteer of the Month: Nicholas Orth

Our Volunteer of the Month for November is Nicholas Orth.

Nicholas Orth is a student at the U of M majoring in philosophy. He grew up on a dairy farm in Cleveland, WI. He says that suffering is suffering regardless of species, and "to ignore this arbitrary discrimination is not much more justifiable than racism or sexism."

Nicholas' favorite thing about volunteering with CAA is being with like-minded people. He says, "People understand why you do what you do, and that's comforting."

Vegan After Dark at Dancing Ganesha

Dust off your dancing shoes and boogie on down to Dancing Ganesha for Vegan After Dark!

Vegan After Dark is a social gathering just for kicks. On the last Friday or Saturday of every month, veg-friendly folks meet at various locations in the twin cities for cocktails, small bites, and socializing. You don't have to be vegan to hang... you only have to be up for a good time!

Come eat, drink, socialize, and dance! There will be a DJ after 10 p.m. See you on the dance floor!
