Legislative Wrap-up for 2011

The Minnesota Legislature convened on January 4, 2011. It adjourned on May 23, 2011, concluding the first year of a two-year biennium.

There were numerous bills affecting animals introduced at the Minnesota Legislature in 2011. Minnesota Voters for Animal Protection tracks all these bills, posts updated bill status on their website, and lets you know when crucial votes affecting animals will be taken, so you may contact your state legislators.

Want to enjoy some delicious vegan food outside on a beautiful summer day? Come join us in a summer picnic potluck at Van Cleve Park. This is a spacious park by the U of M's Minneapolis campus, so feel free to bring any lawn games, frisbees, etc!

Please bring a vegan dish or dessert, a card with the ingredients in it, and eating utensils.
