Join CAA for a bike ride to the beautiful Carver Park Reserve for a night of camping, grilled tofu sandwiches, and miscellaneous outdoor adventure!
Convening at the CAA community office at 9am on Saturday, August 20, bikers will load their stuff into a designated gear car and depart as a group for Carver Park Reserve. Carpools will be arranged for those who do not wish to bike. Following the two hour ride we will set up camp and dinner will be prepared. Grilled tofu sandwiches, "veggie packs," and other vegan grub will be provided by CAA. Vegan marshmallows, of course, will follow. Hiking, swimming, sitting, and other fantastic (but optional) outdoor activities await. We will spend the morning as we please before biking back to the CAA office around noon. A fee of $20 per person is necessary to cover the campsite and food. Checks can be made out to Compassionate Action for Animals with a note that they payment is for the 2011 Camping Trip, and sent to: PO Box 13149, Minneapolis, MN 55414.

Come pass out leaflets on animal cruelty, factory farming, and vegetarianism at the Adele concert! Leafleting is a fun, easy, and effective way to help the animals when you don't have a lot of time to volunteer!
Concert leafleting involves handing out brochures to attendees as a concert lets out. If you only have a little time to volunteer, this is a great way to help animals. In just a half an hour of attendees exiting the venue, it is possible to distribute several hundred "Even If You Like Meat..." pamphlets, getting the message of compassion out to countless, receptive individuals! Leafleting is a fun, effective, and easy form of outreach! Please email Dani Reese or give us a call if you are interested in helping with this effort or if you have more questions!
Time: August 24, 2011 10:00 p.m. to August 25, 2011 12:00 a.m
Location: Xcel Energy Center - Downtown Saint Paul
