This Summer - thanks to a generous donation from one of our biggest supporters - CAA is distributing tens of thousands of vegan food samples at events throughout the Twin Cities metro area. You may have already heard about our extremely successful food giveaway at Grand Old Day in St. Paul where we distributed over 27,000 samples of Boca Burgers, Smart Dogs and Newman O's in just one day!
Our next giveaway will take place this upcoming Sunday, the 4th of July at the Apple Valley Freedom Days celebration. This is one of the largest and longest running 4th of July festivals in the state featuring carnival rides and games, a beer garden, lots of vendors, music, and - of course - fireworks! This will be a great opportunity to talk to attendees about animal rights, factory farming, and have them sample some of our delicious vegan food.
If you are interested in volunteering at this event, please contact Jen Sharlow, our Summer Food Giveaway Coordinator. We are looking for fifteen volunteers to help set up and tear down the booth, prepare and distribute food, leaflet, and more. Volunteers are being asked to arrive at 5:00 p.m..
