As Thanksgiving rounds the corner, so does the pressure to whip up delicious holiday dishes. Whether you want to find a recipe for the Vegan Potluck on Saturday, November 20th or if you are curious to find out what will make your carnivorous friends drool, then come to the Vegan Thanksgiving Cooking Class on Thursday, November 18th.
The tentative food menu is as follows:
- Meatless Turkey Loaf
- Mushroom Sage Gravy
- Cranberry Chutney
- Pumpkin Pie
Cost for the class is $10 which includes food samples as well as recipe cards. The class will be instructed by former CAA Director of Volunteer Programs and current Ecopolitan chef extraordinaire, Benjamin Kutschied.
Ben has worked as a cook in the restaurant industry for over 10 years. Although he had done time at some pretty meat-heavy restaurants as a vegetarian, since becoming vegan in 2005 Ben has focused almost exclusively on preparing vegan and vegetarian foods. Ben has worked locally at Tao Natural Foods and is currently in his fourth incarnation at Ecopolitan Restaurant. What he enjoys the most is preparing large community meals and catering vegan events.
