Featuring a full bar, ample room to mingle, live music, and Ethiopian and Middle Eastern veg-friendly foods, The Blue Nile has it all!
The Blue Nile Ethiopian Restaurant opened in 1989 near the corner of Lake Street and Lyndale Avenue in Minneapolis, and was the first Ethiopian restaurant in the Twin Cities. Today, they are the longest running African restaurant in Minnesota and the only one to represent the Oromo people, and they have remained an independent, family-owned establishment.
VAD is a social group just for kicks. Grab yourself a drink, chat with some swell veg heads, and have a little fun. This series of events is open to both the full-fledged vegan and those that may only be vegan "after dark," but you have to be at least 21 years of age. We meet every last Friday of the month at a variety of venues ranging from chic cocktail bars and neighborhood dive bars to parties hosted at CAA volunteers' homes.
