Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA) will kick off Veg Month 2010, a month-long celebration of all things “vegetarian,” with a World of Veg Tasting Event on Friday, October 1st at University Baptist Church in Dinkytown. Admission is $5 and that includes cost of food.

Dishes will range from Italian eggplant parmesan to Mexican tofu scrambles - any food can be prepared vegan! Come taste a variety of globally inspired cruelty-free recipes while enjoying live music and mingling with veteran veg heads, the “veg-curious” and foodies of all sorts. Also, take the “Pledge to Be Veg” and receive a discount card to a variety of local restaurants.

About Veg Month 2010

Veg Month is an expansion of Veg Week, which CAA has been hosting since 2006. A month-long series of events, Veg Month will celebrate vegetarian diets, educate the public about compassionate food choices, and inspire respect for farm animals. Throughout the month of October, CAA will be hosting a myriad of veg events in the Twin Cities including a our Veg Month Kick-off World of Veg Tasting Event, Rock out With Your Mock Out: A Cruelty-free Concert, a presentation by celebrity chef – Isa Chandra Moskowitz, cooking classes, a discussion panel on vegetarianism and Judaism, dine-outs at local veg-friendly restaurants, and more!
