You can take the chicken out of the jungle, but you can't take the jungle out of the chicken. Because of the missing conveyor belt, this hen is allowed to perch -- a normal, health-promoting activity. However, perching and other basic needs like exercise, flying, and normal social interaction are not possible for most battery caged hens.
