Nonviolence Pledge

I am joining this rescue campaign for the sole purpose of providing aid to animals who are suffering.

I will observe the tenets of nonviolence and vow no harm to any living being.

I will treat all people, including friends and opponents, with respect and courtesy.

I will avoid damaging any property unless the campaign leadership determines it necessary to directly reduce the suffering of animals, in which case we will keep the damage to a minimum and reimburse the owner. *

I am willing to accept the consequences and penalties that may be inflicted on me because of my participation in this campaign.

I will follow the directions of the campaign's leadership with regards to the rescues. If I feel that I cannot follow these directions, I will inform the leadership of my inability to participate in that aspect of the campaign.

I understand that violating the spirit of this nonviolent pledge may result in my permanent suspension from the campaign and all future rescues.
