Fundraising Coordinator

Please note that the deadline for applications has passed

Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA) seeks a highly-motivated individual to work as a part-time fundraising coordinator. Candidates must be organized, outgoing, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be comfortable with spreadsheets and e-mail. Candidates should be passionate about animal advocacy and veganism.

CAA has a long-term, low-pressure philosophy towards developing donors. This means that attracting new donors largely depends on carefully developing contacts through volunteers and existing donors.

The role of the Fundraising Coordinator is to work with volunteers to build and maintain our donor base. This includes:

  • Coordinating volunteers to carry out fundraising and donor development strategies.
  • Soliciting and developing potential donor contacts.
  • Coordinating regular fundraising efforts and events.
  • Assisting with fund appeals and newsletters.
  • Maintaining regular donor communication, acknowledgment, and appreciation.
  • Reporting fundraising results and projections.

Interviews will be conducted in the week beginning Sunday, June 3.

This position will be a part-time, 20 hour per week position, beginning July 2. The initial funding for the position lasts until September 28. If the position is successful, it will be extended, so candidates should be interested in continuing the position past September. Compensation is $10/hour.

The fundraising coordinator will operate out of our office in Coffman Memorial Union at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Candidates should be local residents or willing to move if hired.

To apply, please send your resume and a cover letter to personnel@exploreveg.org. The subject of your email should be "Fundraising Coordinator". Resumes must be submitted by 5PM on Friday, June 1, 2007.

CAA is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that promotes vegetarianism and veganism and raises awareness about factory farming through education and outreach. Most of our efforts are focused at the University of Minnesota and the Twin Cities. We are nonviolent, open, and respectful.
