- Bring awareness about our work to foundations.
- Secure funding from foundations to carry out our mission.
- Empower volunteers and the organization in writing grants and grant reports.
Responsibilities
- Managing a list of current foundation that provide funding and prospective foundations, including maintaining accurate records.
- Work with volunteer writers to write letters of inquiry, grant applications, and grant reports.
- Write letters of inquiry and maintain verbal and written correspondence with foundations.
- Work with partner organizations to identify foundations to apply to.
- Work with fund raising committee to determine which foundations to apply to and to identify volunteer writers.
- Attend monthly fund raising committee meetings to coordinate and report progress.
- Make sure that grant reports are written in a timely fashion, as needed.
Time Commitment and Evaluation
- This position starts on November 1, 2010 and ends on April 30, 2010.
- This position is for 3-5 hours per week (this may be negotiable). Additional time is at your discretion.
- Your performance review will occur by January 30, 2010.
