Become a Presenter on Animal Issues to Receptive Students: Join Bridges of Respect!
We are proud to announce that Bridges of Respect (BOR) is merging with Compassionate Action for Animals.
This highly effective humane education organization has given well
over 1,000 presentations and still has many teacher requests yet to
fulfill.
We hope that CAA supporters who are interested in public speaking will
step up and consider becoming a volunteer humane educator with BOR
and join us for our special introductory meeting this weekend!
Every year, BOR is invited into a variety of classrooms all across the
Twin Cities to present on humane education topics. You’ll be able to
present on topics like animal ethics, vegetarianism, factory farming,
and the environmental impacts of animal agriculture to receptive middle
school, high school, and college students. Check out the full list of
presentations offered.
For anyone interested in becoming a presenter, BOR will provide humane
education training by allowing you to shadow in-class presentations,
providing you with outlines and other materials, arranging a private
practice session, and setting you up with an opportunity to bring
valuable messages to curious students.
We are hosting a special introductory meeting this weekend during which
we'll go over the
basics of what we do and how to get started (see info below). If you
can attend or if you would like to get involved with BOR, please e-mail
Shannon at shannon@bridgesofrespect.org.
