Help Us Furnish Our New Office

Over the years, we've heard that coming to the University of Minnesota campus can be a significant barrier to volunteering for many non-students, because of the cost of parking and overall inconvenience.

This new office will serve as a meeting and work space for our growing numbers of non-student volunteers. We will be able to engage even more people in helping animals and increase our off-campus outreach efforts.

Please note that we will still have a significant presence at our on-campus office. This is an expansion, not a move!

You can help us make this office a success. In order to save money, we are asking for donations of furniture and office equipment. We'd much rather spend money on animal advocacy than furnishing our office. If you have something you'd like to donate, please email us at info@exploreveg.org or call us at 612-276-2242.

Here is a partial list of things we need:

• Desks and/or tables for computers
• Desk chairs (preferably with wheels)
• Filing cabinets
• Conference table(s) - folding tables strongly preferred!
• Folding chairs
• End tables
• Sofa
• Lounge chairs
• Storage shelving
• Book shelves
• Computers - desktop or laptop, no more than 4 years old
• LCD monitors
• Speakers for a computer
• Extension cords
• Power strips
• TV and DVD player, or ideally a TV/DVD combo unit
• A calendar whiteboard (with calendar squares printed on the board)
• Small trash cans
• Coffee maker
• Hot plate
• Microwave
• Microwave safe dishes and bowls
• Refrigerator - full size is okay, if you can help us transport it
• Dish drying rack
• Utensil organizer
• Plastic tubs for washing dishes
• Toilet brush
• Plunger
• Vacuum
• Broom and dustpan
• Household cleaning supplies
• First aid kit
• Folding hand carts
• Coat Hangers
• Wall decorations (pictures of animals are especially welcome)
• Wall clocks - silent ones only please
• Snow shovel

We can pick up large pieces of furniture, but for small donations we ask that you arrange to drop them off with us.
