Volunteer of the Month: Kedar Deshpande

Kedar Deshpande has been vegan since 2004 and animal issues have become a large part of his life. He wanted to channel his beliefs into something constructive and CAA was the perfect fit.

Kedar first got involved with CAA by doing restaurant reviews, as he is an avid traveler and wanted to have accurate and up-to-date information available to him when he went to restaurants. Since he started, Kedar has gotten more involved in CAA and is now co-leading the Restaurant Outreach program, and he occasionally writes articles and book reviews for the e-newsletter and Compassionate Times.

Kedar says that the best part of being involved in CAA is "being a part of a principled, smart, effective organization. CAA provides so many fun, interesting and challenging outlets for animal advocacy, I'm never bored and there's always something new to do."
