Volunteer of the Month: Steven Palacios

Steven Palacios was first introduced to Compassionate Action for Animals by CAA employee, Unny. The first event he attended was the CAA banquet in April 2009. The event piqued his interested in CAA and its cause. Since then, he has been volunteering for many events, from the book club to coordinating the upcoming camping trip. Steven says that what he likes most about volunteering is helping out with CAA, and the cause they support. He also says, "I have met many great people and learned more about the organization and its goals."

Besides volunteering for CAA, Steven works at a company called Medical Technologies, organizes the Minneapolis Buddhism Meet-up, and "Dharma Readers", The Minneapolis Buddhist Book Club. Outside of work and volunteering, Steven enjoys reading, writing, drawing, arranging music, painting, designing, and riding his bike.

In the future, Steven says, "I hope to remain closely affiliated with CAA for as long as I am in the Twin Cities. What a great organization!"
