Date/Time

12:00pm - 2:00pm

Location
Matthews Park

Join us for our next, extra-special holiday party potluck at Matthews Park in Minneapolis.

We’ll be celebrating our supporters and volunteers (you!) by providing free cupcakes from Vegan East.

Bring a vegan hotdish or casserole (no eggs, meat, milk or honey) to share and let yourself be inspired by the Minnesotan hotdish tradition.

Also…

  • If your last name begins with A through J, please bring a main hotdish.
  • If your last name begins with K through R, please bring a salad or hotdish side.
  • If your last name begins with S through Z, please bring a non-alcoholic beverage (alcohol is not permitted).

Hotdish is known as an “anything goes one-dish meal from the Upper Midwest, especially beloved in Minnesota and North Dakota. A creamy sauce binds three essential hotdish components together: starch, protein, and vegetable. And while the rest of the country might call this a casserole, take heed — though all hotdishes are casseroles, the reverse is not true.”

Please also bring a list of ingredients for what went into your dish (common allergens).

We’d love your help with the event! Sign up here to help.
