Film Screening: They’re Trying To Kill Us

Date/Time
Saturday, June 19, 2021
7:00pm - 9:00pm

Join us for a special online screening of the new documentary, They’re Trying To Kill Us as part of the Tribeca Film Festival.

Get tickets here.

The film, created by writer-directors and avid health advocates John Lewis and Keegan Kuhn, highlights food injustice and the ways in which Black Americans, Native Americans, and other communities of color are impacted.

This compelling documentary focuses on “connecting the dots between diet, disease, poverty, systemic racism and industry collusion.” It offers up a new vision of what veganism might look like for communities of color systematically targeted by nutritional and environmental racism.

We pre-purchased the tickets from Tribeca and are selling them a bit below cost so we can watch as a group. Be sure to purchase a ticket for each person who plans to watch. CAA’s Tamuno Imbu will lead a group discussion following the film.

This event will take place via Zoom. Invite friends to the screening on Facebook.
