NEW LOCATION! We’ve moved this event to the home of Bill and Jackie Van Susteren at 1929 James Avenue South in the Kenwood neighborhood of Minneapolis. It’s easily accessible from the 2 bus line, and lots of street parking is available. Compostable dishes and utensils will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own dishes and utensils to save on waste.
Here’s the potluck you’ve all been waiting for. As the cooler fall weather comes upon us, we’ll be looking for comfort food to keep us warm. Join us for this vegan potluck where the food is so decadent that your omnivorous friends might just say, “Wow, I can’t believe it’s vegan!”
Here’s your task: bring a dish to share that’s not obviously vegan. In other words, leave the flax crackers and kale salads at home. If you bring a vegetable, it had just better be battered and deep-fried. We’re talking about creamy, meaty, sugary, carb-olicious plant-based goodness.
You can bring something homemade, perhaps a pasta dish with a rich Alfredo sauce made from cashews. Or feel free to grab something premade, maybe some vegan eats from the Dollar Tree, veggie sliders from White Castle, or donuts from Glam Doll. Or bring donuts from Glam Doll. Or bring donuts from Glam Doll. (It was worth repeating because someone had just better bring donuts.)

DISCLAIMER: Please remember to eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies most of the time. This is an exceptional event where we’ll explore and enjoy those plant-based foods that don’t fit the vegan stereotype. It’s also an opportunity to discover vegan food options in unlikely places, such as the Dollar Tree, White Castle, and your local donut shop.
