SoulSpace Farm Sanctuary
Sign up here for this great community-building event.
We will gather at 10am at the picnic tables at SoulSpace for a brief opening circle. We will then spend a few hours of (hopefully!) sunshine and work with both each other and the animals, like animal feeding and grooming, poop-scooping, mucking out barns, and possible other projects.
We’ll gather at 1pm back at the picnic tables for a tour of the sanctuary grounds and to learn more about the residents’ pasts. At 2pm, we’ll enjoy a potluck lunch. (Out of respect for the SoulSpace residents, please ensure that all the potluck food is vegan.) We will also talk about other opportunities for us to advocate for animals like SoulSpace residents.
Tasks are available for anyone with lifting limitations. Children under 16 are welcome to join as long as a caretaker is there to supervise them.
SoulSpace is located in New Richmond, WI. It is 45 minutes northeast of the Twin Cities, and 1.5 hours southeast of Saint Cloud. Please carpool if you can! Sign up for carpool here.
Like CAA, SoulSpace works to inspire change in the way society views these species, and support people in their quest to live a more compassionate lifestyle. SoulSpace Farm Sanctuary’s mission is to rescue and protect farm animals from cruelty. They provide a forever home to 50 residents rescued from abuse, neglect, and abandonment situations. The residents include chickens, turkeys, ducks, peacocks, pigs, and sheep. Like the variety of species, there are a variety of tasks that need done: grooming, feeding, scooping poop, mucking barns, and more.
