Join us for an unforgettable adventure— the Twin Cities’ First-Ever Plant-Based Bike Crawl—on Saturday, August 12 from 11am-3pm, hosted by Compassionate Action for Animals.

This is a recreational ride and riders of all skill levels are welcome. You’ll meet others interested in plant-based living and nosh great eats from sponsors Reverie Cafe +Bar, Vegan East, and Herbie Butcher’s Fried Chicken.

Plus your crawl fee ($50, or $25 student/low-income, or $10 non-rider) supports Twin Cities Veg Fest, the largest festival of its kind in the Midwest!

Ride Details

Pedal through iconic Minneapolis parks on your way to three different vegan restaurants. You’ll start your journey at Powderhorn Park. From there, you’ll ride to Reverie Café for a jackfruit carnitas taco and then on to Herbie Butcher’s for a cup of one of their sides topped with vegan fried chicken. Finally, you’ll stop by Vegan East where you’ll get a custom cookie commemorating your bike crawl.

You’ll also enjoy homemade vegan snacks along the route! The ride ends back at Powderhorn Park where you’ll get a coupon for a discount on happy hour at Reverie Cafe +Bar.

The total distance of the ride will be about 18 miles, with several stops and restrooms available along the route. We will have a ride leader who will act as your guide. The pace will be casual and accessible to most inexperienced riders. You can also go at your own pace or take your own route. Each stop has limited hours which are listed on the registration site.

Prefer not to bike? You can join us in the park at the end of the ride and enjoy vegan snacks for just $10.

You can also choose to participate as a volunteer. Volunteers get a cookie, a coupon, and the chance to get to know fellow participants.

The crawl is led by Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA), a local 501 c 3 non-profit. CAA is best known as the organizer of both Twin Cities Veg Fest and the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge, with sponsorship support from Reverie Cafe + Bar, Vegan East, and Herbie Butcher’s Fried Chicken.

Whether you’re vegan, a curious foodie, or just looking for adventure, the plant-based bike crawl is for you. Get ready to taste some of the best of local plant-based eats on two wheels!
