Come one, come all, to the first ever Veg Island Jam!
Veg Island Jam is the OFFICIAL Twin Cities Veg Fest After-Party, featuring live music from three of the Twin Cities hottest up and coming bands, a cash bar, and unique menu items for purchase.
Get your groove on with Sammy Strings and the Can of Bliss, Sawyer’s Dream, and Smokin’ Joe. The cash bar will feature a rum pineapple drink as well as beer and non-alcoholic options.
Jasmine Deli is preparing a unique menu just for this event, with sweet potato noodles, crepes, egg rolls, and sticky rice with mango available for purchase. All are both vegan and gluten-free.

Smokin’ Joe
Smokin’ Joe songs focus on the lyrical content and melodies most of all. The songs and stories are often autobiographical, and provide a real and raw look into the tragic, yet joyous life of Joe Scarpellino. Joe utilizes his music as an emotional outlet, and the songs are as much therapy for him, as his fans. Overall it’s about balance. You can not have love, hope, and togetherness without fear, despair, and loss. It’s this balance that draws fans to the music. The number one goal is to inspire and to be inspired in return, for there is no greater gift in life.
Sawyer’s Dream
Inspired by the vocal harmonies of bands such as the Mamas & the Papas, ABBA and Fleetwood Mac, Minneapolis based Sawyer’s Dream is an all original 70s vibe band, uniquely cross-blending Americana, Pop, Rock and Soul. Featuring powerhouse female lead vocals and intricate four-part harmonies, their music is engaging, upbeat and earthy, offering the listener a modern take on classic pop-rock. Sawyer’s Dream includes visual and imaginative lyrical masterpieces focusing on themes of love, life, dreams, the natural, and the supernatural. Formatted for an audience of all ages, the songs will take you back to simpler times; a time of dreams, nature and human kindness. Before the Jam starts, Twin Cities Veg Fest is a free, daytime event. Join us from 11am to 5pm for food, fun, and inspiration! We’ll have exhibitors, vegan food vendors, cooking demonstrations, music, and special presentations.
