What to bring

For Yoga: Nothing special is required if you are interested in attending class. Please dress in loose-fitting clothing or something you might wear to the gym (any clothing that does not restrict movements such as leggings, or shorts and a tank top or t-shirt).  If you have a yoga mat, block, strap and/or blanket bring it. If not, do not worry as these items are not necessities but are nice to haves. Bring your water bottle if you think you might get thirsty.
For Meditation: The Wedge Table community room has chairs which you can sit in during the meditation. If you prefer another arrangement, you may sit or lie on the floor. Feel free to bring yoga mats, cushions, blankets or whatever you need to be comfortable during the meditation.

Meet the instructors

Jill Fuerstenberg is currently training at Devanadi School of Yoga & Wellness to become a certified yoga teacher. The Devanadi Yoga Teacher Training program blends the unique and time-honored traditions of the Sacred Rivers of Tantric Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga, Ayurveda and Energy Medicine.

Ten years ago, Jill faced a bundle of challenges all at once. Those tragedies helped her realize the benefits of yoga not only on the body but also on the mind and spirit. After practicing yoga for 18 years, having an extensive background in dance, and being an award-winning mountain biker, becoming a yoga teacher seemed like the next natural step.

Jill lives by the belief that yoga can benefit everyone no matter their age or occupation. Wherever her students are on their path, Jill seeks to support them with openness and empathy. “The most beautiful thing about yoga is that it allows anyone and everyone – no matter what their level – to find their bliss.”

Freeman Wicklund serves as the Mindfulness Teacher at the Boundless Love Project, a nonprofit dedicated to peacefully creating a global beloved community where all life thrives. During his three decades of activism for animals he has served as the Director of Campaigns for Mercy For Animals, the Executive Director of Compassionate Action for Animals, and as a Humane Educator for Bridges of Respect. He authored Strategic Nonviolence for Animal Liberation and organized the first open rescue in the United States.
