Join us for an unforgettable adventure—Twin Cities’ Second Plant-Based Bike Crawl—on Sunday, July 28, from 10am–3pm, hosted by Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA).

This is a recreational ride and riders of all skill levels are welcome. Help us raise funds for Twin Cities Veg Fest while you meet others interested in plant-based living and nosh on great eats from sponsors Reverie Cafe + Bar and Herbie Butcher’s Fried Chicken. Short route riders will get a cookie from Trio Plant-Based, and long route riders will get a sample from Francis Burger Joint.

We’ll then finish off the event with music, food, drinks, games, and vegan vendors during our after-party at Reverie Cafe + Bar!

Your crawl fee (Basic $75, or VIP $150) supports Twin Cities Veg Fest, the largest festival of its kind in the Midwest.

The crawl is led by Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA), a local non-profit. CAA is best known as the organizer of both Twin Cities Veg Fest and the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge.

Whether you’re an avid biker, a vegan, a curious foodie, or just looking for adventure, the plant-based bike crawl is for you. Get ready to taste some of the best of local plant-based eats on two wheels!

Ride Details

Pedal through iconic Minneapolis parks on your way to different vegan restaurants. You’ll start and end your journey at Reverie Cafe + Bar, where we’ll also have an after-party from 1pm to 3pm with games, food, drinks, and the chance to shop from local vegan vendors.

You have a choice of two routes with food stops:

12 miles: Bike from Reverie Cafe + Bar to the Midtown Greenway, along Bde Maka Ska and Lake Harriet, then go along city streets to the Washburn Park Water Tower for a cookie from Trio Plant-Based. After that, you’ll follow Minnehaha Creek and city streets to Herbie Butcher’s Fried Chicken for a second stop. You’ll then return to Reverie Cafe + Bar. The trip is 11.3 miles.

30 miles: Bike from Reverie Cafe + Bar to the Mississippi River, then along the Mississippi and city streets to a stop at Francis Burger Joint. From there you’ll return to the river and then go past Bde Maka Ska and Lake Harriet, heading to the Washburn Park Water Tower for a cookie from Trio Plant-Based, and then on to Herbie Butcher’s Fried Chicken. You’ll finish your ride at Reverie Cafe + Bar.

We’ll provide you with a route map and times each food stop will be open. You are welcome to start at 10am and ride independently.

There will be one marshalled group ride of the short route leaving at 11:00am from Reverie Cafe + Bar.

You can also choose to participate as a volunteer. Volunteers get a cookie, a coupon for a free game, and the chance to get to know fellow participants. See the full list of opportunities at the bottom of the page.
