Join us online to watch the film Vegucated! During the event you’ll get to know others in the CAA community. You’ll also learn more about Compassionate Action for Animals and our programs. The event is free of charge and all are welcome! You must pre-register here.
Part sociological experiment and part adventure comedy, Vegucated follows three meat- and cheese-loving New Yorkers who agree to adopt a vegan diet for six weeks. Lured by tales of weight lost and health regained, they begin to uncover the hidden sides of animal agriculture that make them wonder whether solutions offered in films like Food, Inc. go far enough. This entertaining documentary showcases the rapid and at times comedic evolution of three people who discover they can change the world one bite at a time.
Activities during the event:
- Be prepared to tell people about an animal who matters to you
- Write postcards to invite people to try out veg eating (learn more and sign up in advance here)
- Eat takeout food from one of the Twin Cities Vegan Comfort Food Challenge restaurants
Encourage others to join us by inviting them on Facebook! [link coming soon]
