We’re Hiring a Part-Time Program Assistant

Overview

Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is currently hiring a 10 hour a week program assistant to begin in January 2024 with a pay rate of $22 per hour.

We encourage people to cultivate empathy for animals and move toward a plant-based diet in order to create a world where all animals, human and non-human, can thrive. We create change by raising people’s awareness of the treatment of farm animals, the impact of animal consumption on human communities and the environment, and the deliciousness of vegan food. Then we work to build community and support people’s growth as advocates. Specific goals in each of these areas are outlined in our strategic plan.

The position will involve administrative and program support work both in our Minneapolis office and at remote locations. A vehicle is required and we will pay for mileage. Some work can be done remotely from home.

Your schedule will vary from week to week depending on our event schedule, with evening, weekend, and some daytime availability required. Roughly 4 hours per week of time will need to be scheduled; the other six can be done at your convenience.

PTO can be earned by working extra hours and/or up to two weeks of unpaid vacation time can be scheduled. You will be eligible to participate in our retirement plan.
