Get more plant-based food options at your school, workplace, or favorite restaurant!

Are you interested in improving human health, protecting our environment, and creating change for animals? Wholesome Minnesota does all of this through getting food service providers to increase their plant-based options. Come learn how from those who have done it!

This event is the second in a series of quarterly trainings by The Humane Society of the United States – Minnesota, Compassionate Action for Animals, and Forward Food. This training is intended for those new to Wholesome Minnesota and also for those who already have experience with the program.

Preregistration is encouraged. Please invite your friends who may be interested.

April’s workshop will focus on what to do if you encounter resistance from food providers and how to do outreach with restaurants.

At this training, you will also

  • hear inspiring stories and learn practical tips for institutional outreach;
  • get a variety of useful resources, including an advocate guide, fact sheets to share with administrators, and access to free training for food service providers, and
  • connect with fellow advocates through breakout groups and role-playing activities.

Karla Dumas of Forward Food will join us via video conferencing to share information, strategies, and personal experiences. Also, Julie Knopp, a kindergarten teacher and CAA volunteer, will share tips for local advocates based on her experience working with the Richfield school district to adopt Meatless Mondays.
