Volunteer for the 2017 Vegan Thanksgiving Potluck

Help out with the 15th Annual Vegan Thanksgiving Potluck on Saturday, November 11 at Matthews Park in Minneapolis. When you volunteer, you can do all these awesome things:

  • Help foster a community of people who care about animals
  • Help people who are new to vegan eating feel more comfortable
  • Meet other people who care about animals

The potluck will be held from noon to 2:30pm, and we need volunteer help from 8am to 4pm. All positions will include breaks to enjoy the food.

Sign up now to volunteer at the potluck!

We are also still recruiting folks to help organize this event. Sign up here to join the planning committee!

Dine Outs

CAA regularly organizes dine outs for animal-friendly folks in the community looking to connect and enjoy great food.

We use our dine outs to showcase the variety of vegan-friendly options in the Twin Cities area.

Dinner dine outs usually happen in the evening. We try to rotate them to different days of the week so no one is excluded. Occasionally, we also have brunch dine outs on the weekend.

You don’t have to be vegetarian or vegan to come, so please bring your veg-curious friends and family. We do, however, ask that people attending our dine outs order only vegan food.

You can find out about upcoming dine outs and RSVP on the CAA Facebook page or by checking our events calendar.

Do you have suggestions for restaurants? Contact us at info@exploreveg.org.

Potlucks

Potlucks are a great way build community. They give attendees a chance to try delicious vegan food, as well as meet other like-minded individuals. They’re also a great chance to practice your cooking skills and impress others!

At a potluck, each attendee brings a dish of food to be shared among the group. When CAA hosts a potluck, it is expected of guests (although not required) for everyone to bring something to share. This ensures that there is enough food for everybody to enjoy.

Potlucks are a great way to meet new friends among a group of like-minded individuals, as well as expanding your food horizons.

Traditionally we have a number of potlucks around the year, including a Chili Cook-Off, Vegan ThanksLiving, Vegan Picnic, and more. All potlucks will be announced on our Events Calendar.
