Animal Rights Coalition and Compassionate Action for Animals are teaming up for another vegan potluck picnic! Join us for an epic afternoon of vegan food and fun. All are welcome. Find us at the Wabun C pavilion at Minnehaha Park — rain or shine!

What to bring

Here’s what you can bring:

  • If your last name begins with A-G: dessert
  • If your last name begins with H-S: main dish
  • If your last name begins with T-Z: beverage, side dish, or salad

We’ve found that this naming schema works well for providing a good spread of food. However, if you have a prize recipe in a different category you’d really like to bring, feel free to do so! Looking for recipe ideas? Check out our recipe archive and our Vegan Recipe Club archive.

You are also welcome to bring something vegan for the grill. We’ll have a dedicated vegan grill available and volunteers who will help manage it.

Make sure that whatever you bring is completely vegan (no meat, fish, dairy, eggs, or honey) and will provide at least 8 servings. Please also bring a list of ingredients for your dish. We will have some serving utensils available, but you are encouraged to bring a serving utensil for your dish.

Compostable plates, cups, and utensils will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own reusable ones to save on waste.

Bring your omnivore friends, too! This is a great opportunity to introduce others to the awesomeness of vegan food and to our community.

How to RSVP

Its great if you can let us know ahead of time that you are coming.

Other things to keep in mind

Here are a few important things to keep in mind:

  • Please label the ingredients on your dish for those with food sensitivities.
  • Please bring your own utensils for serving, eating and drinking. (We’ll have some extra in case you forget).
  • Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.
  • Alcohol is not permitted.
  • Parking is limited. If you’re driving, leave yourself extra time to find a spot. Consider carpooling, using metro transit, or biking to get there.
  • Use Google Maps to find Wabun Picnic Area at Minnehaha Park. Note that it has a separate entrance from the park; it’s further east.
  • Arrive within the first hour for the best selection of food.

Keeping Everyone Safe

  • If you are feeling ill (sore throat, or cough, etc), please help keep everyone safe by staying home to get well. We look forward to seeing you at a future event.
  • Please consult our Plant-Based Food Safety Guide and be sure to prepare your food hygienically and according to these guidelines.

How to volunteer to help
