Vegan Comedy Series Premieres This Weekend

April 17, 2024

If the Level 5 Vegan Jesse (right) has been your only vegan representation for the past twenty-four years, fear not. VEGAN PLEASE is coming to a city near you!

What is VEGAN PLEASE about?

With a similar vibe to Sex and the City, the new comedy series VEGAN PLEASE follows a colorful cast of vegan characters opening bakeries, doing activism, and dating – all in the Twin Cities. So far, only a teaser about a vegan people-pleaser on a first date has been released… but you can see the first episodes weeks before everyone else at the premiere!

What will the premiere event be like?

The premiere, hosted on Saturday 4/20 from 6-8pm at Hark! Cafe in Minneapolis, will include the first-ever screening of episodes 1 and 2, as well as an exclusive panel with the production team behind the show. Tickets also include red carpet style photos taken by a professional photographer, as well as food and non-alcoholic drinks. Find more details on our event page.

Raffle tickets available for cool prizes

Raffle tickets will be available for $2 each, and additional drinks will be available for purchase. Raffle items, available only at the premiere, include comedic props from the first episodes, a ticket to a vegan dinner at Owamni, art from local artists, and more. The food on offer will include made-from-scratch mini pizzas, arancini (fried risotto balls), brownies, and cookies.

Get your tickets here! When you purchase a ticket, most of the funds help to cover event costs, and the remaining funds (particularly at higher ticket tiers) help to produce future episodes of VEGAN PLEASE and to continue the local outreach work of Compassionate Action for Animals. Higher ticket tiers also come with fun merch from VEGAN PLEASE and CAA, raffle tickets, and/or front-row seating – check the ticket details for more information! Fewer than ten lower-cost tickets remain, so get ‘em while you can!
