Did you know that the Sicilian four-course vegan meal from Hark! Cafe is ONLY available at the CAA Annual Banquet?
That’s right! This decadent melding of flavors by the talented chefs at Hark! Cafe is not on their regular menu. And you even have the option to order it with a variety of recommended alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks.
You can purchase your own Sicilian four-course meal(s) when you register for the CAA Annual Banquet. Your food will then be available for pick-up at Hark! Cafe from 1 to 4 pm on March 20. Simply heat it up at home before the online event begins.
Here’s the not-to-be-missed menu:
- Antipasto: Rissole di miglio e cavolfiore served with pesto alla Trapanese — pan fried rissole of cauliflower, gigantes beans, and millet with a traditional Sicilian sauce.
- Insalatona: Winter citrus and fennel salad with an agave mustard dressing — A typical Sicilian fennel salad that’s fresh, tart and sweet.
- Primo: Penne all’Arrabbiata with parmesan cream — Penne with a classic Roman tomato sauce that has a little kick from calabrian chile, served with house-made parmesan cream.
- Dolce: Caramel apple crumble.
Drink options to go with your meal:
The folks at Hark! are wine experts, and they’ve paired both red and white options with the meal. You can get a full bottle with a meal for two, or even a meal for one!
If wine’s not your thing, or you’d prefer a little less to drink, there’s also a package where you can choose from a selection of ciders, beers or wine.
The non-alcoholic choices are plentiful and delicious! There’s a wide variety of flavor choices from Deane’s Kombucha, Wisco Pop, and Northern Soda Company. Or you could choose Topo Chico Sparkling Water, 1919 Root Beer, hot chocolate, tea or one of many coffee drinks with the option of vegan milks and chocolate syrup.
No matter what option you choose, we know you’ll savor your meal!
Purchase your tickets here. Members of our Circle of Care (those who give monthly) get the base meal for just $28 rather than $35 — and will get first dibs on some special Twin Cities Veg Fest packages! For information on food allergen information and full event details, visit the CAA Annual Banquet event page.
The banquet will also have opportunities to connect with others, enjoy music from Shawn Vougeot, the Minnesota Violinist, and play a themed trivia game. Invite your friends to join you on Facebook. We can’t wait to see you on Zoom on March 20!
